POV
Why HeartHeaded™. Why Now.
I’m Jing, 贺敬. I help people and organizations decide with clarity and move with strategic coherence.
I believe:
Decision-making is the soul of how we move through life. It is the very activation of free will.
HeartHeaded™ best captures the living philosophy and embodied practice that has taken shape through my life and work, and that continues to guide how I live and lead. I hold this, admittedly, with a touch of hardheaded conviction.
We stand at a rare intersection of reach and remembrance. Technology allows ideas to travel farther than ever before, while ancient wisdom reminds us that the deepest human questions have never really changed. Yet despite unprecedented access to information, we remain starved for clarity when it matters most. Insight too often stays trapped in theory, disconnected from the decisions waiting on our desks Monday morning.
Inside organizations, there isn’t a lack of intelligence but a loss of orientation. Leaders are saturated with tools and frameworks, yet struggling to find their bearings. When ‘heart’ and ‘head’ split, the outer world mirrors this fracture. Strategy grows clever but careless; care speaks loudly but directionlessly. Decisions shrink to short-term wins, trust thins, and systems drift from the people they were meant to serve. At scale, this same separation shapes our world: technologies that outrun ethics, policies that ignore lived reality. The union of ‘heart’ and ‘head’ is, in my view, a critical discipline for how we live and lead. HeartHeaded™ is my attempt to make that union practicable, to hold it aligned and steady when the pressure to split them is greatest.
Spirituality alone can drift into avoidance; strategy without soul can slip into manipulation and hollow tactics. Our ancestors did not teach us to flee complexity, but to live well within it. HeartHeaded™ calls us to meet the world as it is, with presence, clarity, and courage. It invites us to cultivate an inner orientation that brings coherence to our decisions and actions that answer to inner truth.
What is true withIN shapes what takes form withOUT. The fractures we have learned to live with have become collective wounds that bandages can no longer conceal. Blame is easy. Following along is convenient. Choosing differently takes courage. Decision-making is the soul of how we move through life. Decision by decision, we have all contributed to the reality we inhabit. Decision by decision, we can reshape it with clearer eyes, showing up wholeheartedly and HeartHeadedly, moment by moment.
The process is the change.
